Broken frying pan.....return or bin it?

I purchased a Salters marble frying pan for £15 from Asda 3 months ago. Its fantastic , doesn't stick and is easy to clean.
I've used it on an almost daily basis since buying it , a guess is that I have used it a hundred times.
Two months in I noticed the handle starting to wobble a bit so I tightened the screw which attaches it to the pan. However yesterday the handle just fell off. The welding had separated from the frying pan and there's no way of attaching it.
I've had plenty of use from it and it only cost £15. I am within my rights to take it back to Asda to get a refund or replacement? Will an item like this be guaranteed for 12 months? Or should I put it down to wear and tear and bin it?
To be absolutely honest , I'm pretty much broke , I can get the money for a new one but I'd prefer the first option if that's reasonable.

Just take it back with your receipt, might be good to mention how dangerous it is that a handle can fall off.0

Do you have the receipt to prove it was bought in Asda?
I'd definitely take it back as even though it wsn't really expensive it should last longer that it has.0
