Hi MoneySavers!
Just got hassled by a sales woman in Sainsburys. She told me about the endless nectar points plus extra discounts for DD. She also said that the prices were the lowest on the market.
Anyone know if its competitive???
Cheers

i'm in the process of checking cos i signed up last Wednesday.only thing is i have figures of prices per kwh's for my present company and i'm trying to work them out against sainsburys but having probs.when i signed up i told the guy what i was paying every month and even after i rang with last winter's meter reading's they're still saying i'll save loads-plus the nectar points.personally i can't see that they'd be saving me as much as they say and i wouldn't say that sainsbury's would lie so we'll have to see.the guy who signed me up was the area manager think he said.0

sainsburys energy is operated in conjunction with EDF
might help people compare costs and benefits against 30.00 cashback available via moneysupermarket and other switching site incentives

sainsburys were operating its energy service in conjunction with scottish power, i wonder if sainsburys got 30.00 cashback for switching energy supplier as well. :rotfl:0 -
I put in standard consumption, standard tariff paid by dd with Powergen in the Swalec region on their website and it came back no savings. Considering they didn't have an option for me to select BG, nPower or Powergen's online tariffs wich are cheaper than the one I used to compare, I would say there are probably better deals available than Sainsbury's, but do comparison to find out for your own circumtances.
I chose Powergen because they do clubcard points which are essentially the same type of thing, so it can't be said the nectar points make it worthwhile paying more.0 -
putting in my usage on energyhelpline.com, ( southwest region) sainsburys energy was more expensive than most other companies, exactly the same price as EDF itself who also offer nectar points.0
