Playing songs bought from a now-closed web store with WMP 12

I bought a digital copy of an album from either the MSN Music UK or HMV web stores back in around 2007/2008, which I then saved onto my computer that was running Windows XP SP3 and Windows Media Player (WMP) 11.
I backed up my licences and kept a spare copy safe in case I needed it later.
Fast forward to now, where my PC has Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit edition and WMP 12. Now, WMP 12 doesn't have the option to import/restore any media licences you've previously backed up.
It gets more complicated: the store I bought the album from used the OD2 service which was bought up by Nokia in 2009, but all the DRM info for the MP3 tracks point to the relicensing.od2.com website, which no longer exists.
I've found some info on this Microsoft web page, but they're talking about upgrading WMP 12's DRM support.
Now, that download requires Internet Explorer (IE) to be used to access the download page - at the moment, my IE11 is borked and I'm going to follow a tutorial I found online to see if I can fix it and then try the link.
Has anyone else had a similar issue and, if so, how did you get around it?

I had a similar problem recently which was really easily solved. Are you getting the message saying that the page requires a "newer" version of IE?
If so, I think just refreshing that page was enough to kickstart it and redownload the licences.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
