Is your OH in a better financial position than you are? If they are then maybe you should tell him you cannot now afford to go halves on flights especially seeing as they are not doing there bit and bookign earlier.
Point out that this is meaning you are cutting back on your childs food and essentials which is not right! Are they internal flights or abroad, if its internal would rail be cheaper with a family rail card and a travelodge!0 -

Unfortunately wasn't the best of splits plus he now has a new family and extensive work commitments as he's in armed forces, so don't think he'd go for it - however gonna nag him much more on dates and organisation!0 -

They're internal flights and actually work out cheaper than the rail network as can't use family rail card on way down to get her. Train defo much more expensive - even coach is as I've even looked at getting the coach down then flying back up. Trust me - I hate flying, its only cos its cheaper I do it!!0 -
Definately regardless of whether he has a new family or not he should be worried enough to co-operate with you if he realises his childs necessarys are in question.
Don't get me wrong I am not criticising you just showing you how you could illustrate to him how serious it is. You have done your bit offering half considering it was a bitter split, now you simply can't afford it explain to him and put the ball in his court.
I have dealt with ex's and armies so know what they are like lol!0 -

MFIT - number 37. Reduce my mortgage from £63,500 to £48,000. now at 54,000...0 -
Just a thought about the mags, are there any friends, relatives, neighbours or work collegues that like the same kind of mags as you & would agree to go halves on a subscription? The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Do you have any Tesco Clubcard Vouchers as you can exchange these for mag subscriptions?
Or what about joining the library and reading books instead, everyone has different tastes in books but I quite like autobiographies with being nosey

Not an option - 1 if he knew probs I was having he'd go mad at me, 2 hard enough getting him to maintain contact anyway, it was a long battle just getting him to see her regularly and maintain a relationship - as you say - you know what these guys are like!0
