Purely by accident, whilst browsing the internet, I found out about Oswaldtwistle shopping mill. (Postcode BB5 3 DE) We live just over 30 miles away, and didn't know it existed. I was delighted to find out it had a craft shop, then disappointed to find out that the craft shop is closing.

We visited it yesterday. The sale started approx. a week ago, so there aren't that many dies or embossing folders left, but there's loads and loads and loads of other stock left. (It's quite a spacious shop.)The assistant told me it will prob. close in 2 to 3 weeks. I believe the only items that aren't reduced by 50% are die cutting machines (and I didn't notice any, apart from the machines they use in demos ) and Hornby railway stuff.

If you are in the area, it is well worth a visit.

I don't think so. I've just googled and the postcode is different. (unless she then moved from her shop into the Mill?)

Oswaldtwistle Mills has all sorts of different shops (like departments) inside, eg. Peacocks, Bonmarche, Pavers, The Works, and lots of others incuding eateries, furniture, bedding, curtains, aquatics, sewing centre and a sweet shop.

There's a wildfowl and picnic area that is lovely, and a 12 hole mini golf. I think there's a children's indoor play centre. Looking at their website, there is a family funfair on this Sunday 28th June, so it will prob. be very busy.

I enjoyed visiting and will go again. (and hope someone opens another craft shop.)

Although I was delighted to find this craft sale, it is so sad that this shop is closing and staff losing their jobs. I hope they are able to find jobs, maybe in another of the mill shops.

Apologies, LV Sue, I was wrong. I was told today that Dawn Bibby was at the mill before she had a shop.

Speaking of Dawn Bibby, has she given up crafting completely? Anyone know?

I heard that she had moved abroad, (Egypt I think?) to be with her boyfriend.

Edited to say, that I've just read a blog were Dawn says she will be back working in the industry from September.
