    Hello

Most trains from Hastings go through London Bridge before they get to Charing Cross.

Generally yes, but "they" made some changes about 2 years ago to reduce the congestion at LB so many trains don't now stop there

But it's no bother to go on to Waterloo East and get a train back to LB. Or, if LB is your destination then, presumably, trains to Cannon Street are an option :D

(I work in Leadenhall Street so LB or Cannon Street is fine for me, but I often get a Charing Cross train and "go back" from Waterloo East .... picking up a coffee on the way ... :D )
    Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac ;)

Interestingly, Rye has a worse reputation locally for anti-social yoofs - and drug use in particular - than Hastings!

I'm not surprised.Though very pretty in a "ye olde tea shoppe" sort of way and with quite a few cultural attractions for visitors, Rye seems to be very dead at night, you can understand youngsters getting terminally bored and then difficult.

The police have recently had a 'clean up the seafront' drive in Hastings St Leonards which has got rid of the drinkers and druggies. Police are also very visible in the town centre near the clubs and pubs on weekends which seems to keep trouble in check.

Recently drinking in the street in the Old Town has been banned after 11pm (much to the irritation of the smokers!) so as not to disturb residents. It all seems to be under control, although it's dificult to anticipate trouble from out of town visitors, which happens occasionally.
    Trying to keep it simple...;)
