Phone Line dead...I think...

Since lunchtime, something strange has been happening with my landline phone. When people call, they can hear the rings as normal while I hear nothing (the caller goes to voicemail). My phone handset is displaying a "check phone line" message and there is no dialling tone at all.

My internet service is working perfectly at the same time.

I've tried another phone and phone cable, still nothing. A neighbour connected to the same local cabinet has a normally working service.

Is there any obvious explanation or something else I can test? Thanks in advance.

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
  • Thanks GunJack - now reported and feeling all warm and glowing that they've identified an issue on my line and that I'll get an update within 48 hours....
