New forum version on android phone crashing browser

When I cleared my phone browser's cache recently I lost my permanently signed in to MSE status (and therefore access to the old version which worked perfectly fine).
Now I am completely unable to sign in to allow me to revert to old. The new site crashes my phone's browser before I get passed typing MrsB, I don't get anywhere near to entering password. So I have now lost mse on my phone.
I've tried browsing without signing in, but it's too hard to navigate, and usually crashes after a few minutes anyway.
Any ideas please?
