L&G pet insurance

Please advise!
I'm young and stupid, and have no experience of buying insurance (or of financial matters generally).
I took out pet insurance with Legal and General several months ago, since the MSE weekly email mentioned that they were offering £45 Amazon credit. This (Amazon gift cards) arrived at the weekend, and I cancelled the direct debit from my bank account online (3 payments have been taken for the insurance policy, costing me just under £19 in total). Today I also called L&G to cancel. I was told that the policy defiunitely had been cancelled, but that there was a £30 "administration fee". Apparently this was stated in the Ts&Cs - but I'd not read these (because I'm daft/ have better things to do with my time and had no idea that such a thing was possible, having no experience of buying insurance).
What should I do?
Obviously I want to just ignore this ("admin fee") - but if I simply don't make the payment, do I risk being charged even more eventually. Will L&G take legal action against me?
Any help would be MASSIVELY appreciated!
Thankyou so much for reading

The cancellation fee is in the terms and conditions, so you'd be better off just paying it. It's only £30.0
