Electric shower recommendation?

I want to get a good 10.5Kw electric shower installed, and was wondering whether anyone could recommend a good make? I'm flexible on cost, but would prefer a dual-head model which offers both hand-held and "rain shower" heads. I'd also be interested in anything which has facilities to deal with scaling.
TIA for any pointers....

First thing i would do is too look at the existing installation if you have one, for the size of the cable. This will limit you to the maximum size of shower you can fit without replacing the cable.
I know that a 10kw shower would be knocking on to 10mm T&E cable. This would require a 45amp mcb or cartridge fuse. It will be hard to run, and difficult to get into the pull switch.
Most showers in the past were wired in 6mm T&E and therefore the shower size was limited.
If you are going to carry out the work yourself, please do not pay £1 per metre for the cable. Contact me and ill tell you a few places where you can get it, and to argue for a discount.
Its not illegal under the Part P thing to run and lay the cables yourself, i think its just the end termination into an electrical system.

Thanks for the info. I'm actually having some rewiring done at the same time so this will be put on an entirely new circuit.
I'm not actually doing the work myself, but will bear in mind your comments re. the cost of the cable.
Anyone have any ideas re. good makes of shower?0 -

Very old showers were run in 4mm.
Best make, personally I'd go for Mira.
Scaling. If you are in a very hard water area I'd get some sort of softner in. Otherwise you could be replacing the shower every few years. Not my area of expertise because we don't have that problem round here, sorry.A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

Triton are good, Mira are OK (not as good as they used to be)
Gainsborough (I wouldn't touch them with your barge pole - never mind mine)
I can't emphasise. how low I rate Gainsborough showers. I refuse to put them in - very poor design.baldly going on...0 -
I've never had a problem with Mira, & would certainly buy one again.0

My plumber advised me to put an Aqualisa in - as their after sales customer care is superb. I've had to call them out once in the last 2 years as the shower didn't work, they came out the next day and repaired free. My shower has a 5 year warranty - all parts and labour - how many shower firms offer that? (check out the individual products though as not all have a 5 year guarantee - mine is a Quartz, bought from Ebay - £100 less than in the shops - and its superb!).0

Hy
I highly reccomend a triton we have just had ours replaced which was a triton it was in when we moved in and that was 10 years ago and it hasnt broke down once. So when it was replaced we replaced it with another triton as the plumber advised this as it is your best make. it only cost us £75 fron tesco direct bargain. We was also adveised not to have one with all the fancy gadgets lights etc just a power light a on off switch and a temp control as with all the gadgets they tend to break down quicker.
Hope this helps you
