What time does santander update accounts with bacs payments, Just opened a new account and expecting a bacs to go in.

Just curious that's all...

Re. BACS wages for example, they start updating at midnight and it's usually completed by 6am. But you need to check on it using online banking or mobile banking because I have seen delays and can take 3 days. Faster payments usually show up the same day.

While delays are possible in any payment system it would be a serious issue if a BACS payment was delayed by 3 days.

The BACS Direct Credit system (the only part of BACS still in operation since 2011) is a 3 day product, with debits and credits dated on the same day 3 business days after submission.

For that to actually take 6 days would mean that the submitter had failed to supply their file to BACS on time, BACS had failed to transmit the data to the receiving banks on time, or the receiving bank had not applied the credits on time (or some combination of these). The most likely of these to happen is the first, which is not an issue caused by either bank.

I'm not sure what your credentials are for making statements on payment processing but as this is the third one in the last two days that is dubious to say the least I have to question your authority. My own credentials are 15 years working on banking systems including BACS and Faster Payments, and although my experience is no longer current I know where to look to check things before posting, something I recommed you to do too.

Mine tend to appear any time after around 2230.

Depends when they get the money. They don't see payments in ahead of time unfortunately and can't see a bacs payment days in advance or anything. It's purely a case of when they receive he funds from the sending bank they put it in as quick as possible after that (usually without any significant delay)

My payments clear in my santander account at 9.30 pm day before
