lost/stolen card in post

My replacement debit card was lost or stolen in the post recently.
The bank cancelled the card and issued a new one, but I am thinking about
the possible repercussions of this.
Apparently the cards' information is encrypted, but what could a would be ID
thief or fraudster do with the card?
It has my name and same bank account number as my new card, sort code,
use by dates and the card number. Plus the recipient has my address from
the envelope it was in.
Can you see any problems?

As the card has been stopped - if someone tries to get money from an ATM (the most common attempt with fraudelent use) the card will be swallowed by the machine.
I'm not saying that you have nothing to worry about but you will be covered by any fraud using this card as you have reported the matter.Keep an eye out on your statements just in case.0 -
i think the OP is more worried about it being used for obtaining credit ie as they have an address for the account holder, they have a bank card which can be signed by them. Obviously no proof of address, unless they take the actual letter it was attatched too, but i doubt this.
Nothing you can do really, just one of them things.0 -

Yes Alias_Omega, it's the stealing my id/credit that I'm worried about.
I've heard that with just one piece of documentation, someone can start to
accumalate other forms of id.
Give it some time and I might do any Experian check.more dollar$ than sense0
