    Yes, we aren't replacing the concrete posts, they are fine - its just the fence. So, its a case of sliding out the current panels and replacing them with new panels of a better quality.

    I just wanted to ensure that by having the "nice" side facing us, it wasn't going against any enforceable laws nor would be mean we encroach the neighbours boundary.

    You want feather edge panels ... they do have a 'good' side (with the supports on the other side). The lap panels are slightly cheaper (and are the same on both sides) but won't last.

    Have which ever side you want!
