Returns Label Query

Apologies for being a nuisance but I'm currently going through the returns process for the item I sold recently.

I want the item to come back tracked and signed for, if I use an eBay returns label will this be the case or would I need to issue my own return label? Also what level of insurance would I get if I use an Ebay return labels?

I feel stupid but I really can't find anything very helpful when it comes to advise on returns for sellers on eBay - everything is (as usual) buyer focussed.

Before talking about issuing labels, find out if the buyer has a means to print them. Not everyone has access to a printer.

If they do, I tend to send them a My Hermes label and ask if it's convenient for a home collection, or are they OK to drop off.
  • Oh I never thought of that - what happens if they don't have the means? They have opened a SNAD case so I need to pay for the return postage - how do I do this if they cannot print a label?

If they have opened a SNAD I'd let them use the Ebay returns label. If they can't print it out then its their problem to sort out. The Ebays return label will be charged to your account.
  • Thanks, I have done just that. :T
