Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi Everyone

First time today I've sat down. Today was epically busy at the shop. I get a day like this every so often when for no discernable reason its non stop all day. So horray for cash flow, & run to the bank NOW!

I said on Monday that my goal was to find an extra £150 this pay period to get my CC debt to a round £4,500. I am pleased with progress on this. I earned an extra £30 on saturday night for a shift at someone elses business, then I have been accepted for a 60 minute telephone interview for my business energy supplier which they'll pay me £50 for. I also hit the payout limit on Shoptize for £5. So total available for extra debt repayments so far is £85/£150 so now have £65 to find. Pleased with that. I do have £30 due to come back to me via TopCashback, but after buying my home contents cover in Jan, I have just found out that the insurance company have until September to pay that! So I could sort of say I have half of the £65 too but unlikely to see it convert this month.

Absolutely cream crackered, so off to have a soak in a hot bath.

Ziggy - I am sorry to have read yesterday that you are still feeling terrible after all this time. Is it time for a check up with your GP do you think?

Maria - Did you get to swim? Also thats great about finding the passport, brilliant luck!
The Only Girl - Hello, fancy seeing you here :)Hope you had a good lie in.
Lazer - Well done on finishing your emergency fund off. Im hoping to be in the same boat this month.
ESBM - Sounds like you got some great bargains. 1 Hobbs top would set you back close to £100, I used to love shopping there when I had money (sobs)
HappyTails - At least you recognise you are on the wrong path, thats a good place to be in. I bet before your LBM you'd have just carried on any how?
Princess - Hasta La Vista then baby :)

Hannah - Congrats on your refund. Its good to be assertive!

Woohoo for a busy day in Bobs shop.

Took DS out this aft. We went to a local beauty spot and walked about 3 miles. Spent £2 on car parking and £1 on a can of pop for him. Had such a nice time.

On the subject of DS have had to buy him some clothes. He is at that awkward size where kids stuff is too small and most mens sizes too big. Thankfully he is not fussy but 2 hoodies, a pair of jeans and a t-shirt have just set me back £65.

Oh and I have just finished OHs monthly invoices. It has been a good month but I only take a set amount out of the business based on last years monthly average. Bank balance looks fairly healthly.

A fairly good day all round!

    Evening all :)
Late posting today, as I had an unscheduled grandma day, because DD2 was ill, SiL had to work, so I had to look after baby. Thankfully she was easy today, as I was up late (I always get up at 6, but decided to have a lie in this morning as OH got up early for a change - so when the phone rang at 8, I was only just up. Cue a lot of rushing around :() I hate rushing in the mornings, which is probably why I always get up early.... that will teach me!

So, apart from babysitting, not much acheived:
Made a loaf in the bread maker
Made a nice bolognese sauce using up bendy vegetables - baby polished off loads of that at lunchtime, along with masses of strawberries (not together, though she wouldn't have minded :rotfl:)
Picked raspberries and strawberries that were ready, before the blackbirds do
Cleared up the vegetation I had cut down in the front garden yesterday - baby plays out there, so I just took a bin bag out with me. She helped put the odd leaf in, between her observations of woodlice and ants, which she seems to have just discovered :)
Just watered the pots in the back garden, now gearing up to do the ones at the front
Must also check banks Just done this and tax rebates have arrived, £240- ish for me and £150 for OH :T
Stuck to diet, possibly because I didn't get chance to have any lunch.

    And that is it :o

Hoping for a more productive day tomorrow, as I have loads to do

Thanks Yorkshire :) sounds like a nice day with your son. Older children's clothing is expensive . What is your husbands business out of interest? Or roughly if you'd rather not say.

Dawn -you are such a great grandma, I bet your little one is going to have fantastic memories of the time you spend with her. Hope your daughter feels well soon though.
