Sink installed on a tilt

We are having an ensuite installed and noticed that the basin has been installed at an angle - which will prevent tiling behind it because the tap is leaning backwards. It is on a newly plastered wall so the wall is flat and vertical.
The plumber claims that it is because there is a problem with the sink although didnt mention it during installation. The only 'solution' is to tilt the sink away from the wall. Does this make sense or are we being fobbed off.
The sink in question is one of these:
Wickes Cloakroom Vanity Unit Gloss White 400mm
Product Code: 199697

If there was a problem with the sink, the plumber should not have installed it.

It sounds to me as though he is trying to fob you off. Ask him what, exactly, is the problem with the sink. Get him to show you. If there really is a problem with the sink you should take it back to Wickes and swap it for one that is not faulty.

As the wall is newly plastered, don't assume it is flat and vertical, get a plumb line and check it. I suspect this may be the problem, especially if the plumber plastered it (rather than a trained plasterer).

Getting a sink level is a basic plumbing, sounds like you have a cowboy as plumber. Check the rest of his work and withhold final payment until your are satisfied ie wate running for a while including heating if he plumbed that. Check all joints for leaks with toilet paper.
Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring

Sounds to me like someone is trying it on.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
