Good Morning everyone ,bright and sunny here at the moment .
I heard from my brother Davy's partner Sandra last night, and its definitely a clot, which is weird as he's been having blood thinning injections for several months. But he is on a drip, and being given morphine for the pain as its very sore. He also has fans running 24/7 as its very warn where he is in France, and the hospital has no air-con. He will have some transfusions today, which they hope will help,I hope they have enough blood as he hasn't got an ordinary blood group.
Bless him, he is a tough little guy though, and I'm hoping he will pull through this set-back. She said he is in good spirits, although he is like me and not a patient patient. We are very alike in temperament it used to drive our Mum daft at times
On the brighter side I had the last of my stitches removed yesterday afternoon, and have two months before I have to return for a check-up. Mr Kaseem, my surgeon, is very pleased with the result and says that the tenderness where the scars are will dissappear with time. I can resume life shortly as long as I don't lift anything too heavy or stretch or strain myself .Basically just take life a bit slower:):):)
yeah like thats going to happen
Sandra said 'You and Davy are so alike, your head says you are 22 but your body tells you its not '
Which is true I think my brain definitely works faster than the rest of me:):):):) so my mantra for a little while must be 'Slow down, take things slower ', very hard when you have spent most of your life haring around:):)
Oh well I guess its time to take notice of the experts
Hope you all have a good day what ever you are doing
Cheers chums

Good Morning everyone, beautiful sunny day here with whisps of high light cloud, washing out in the garden and the hoover has no suction whatsoever, good job we have hard floors (mostly) and a broom!!! We had such a lovely day yesterday with DD2 and Zebra, took him to lunch where he dined in style on olives, tomato bruschetta, apple sauce, skinny chips, sweet potato wedges and ketchup followed by a nectarine, bless him, he wants to try everything on our plates when we're out! He stole my gherkin too!!! Today brings the joy of breast screening but he's taking me out for coffee and cake afterwards and I'm glad to still be in the age category called for regular screenings, I'm going to opt to continue in 3 years time when I reach 70 (How did that happen???) as it's such a sensible thing to do and hopefully picks up problems early. Spinach and ricotta tortelloni for supper with some homemade tomato sauce from out tomatoes last year, easier to store them in flat bags as sauce than as whole tomatoes in the freezer. I'm going to apply the same principal to fruit this year as we eat it cooked rather than freeze whole fruit and then cook it when it has defrosted, I'll be able to fit shedloads more in that way. Nothing else planned for today except a nice evening walk when it cools down and an evening curled up reading, lovely'.
Have a lovely day everyone, Lyn xxx.0 -

:jWell done on going for your breast screening My breast cancer was picked up via a mammogram, and its so important not to miss them I think all women should get them, regardless of age .It saved my life as I had no other symptoms whatsoever.A few minutes of being uncomfortable is well worth it when you consider the alternative:jSo give yourself a pat on the back and keep going all the time they are available to you

Me too Jackie, just screening, no lump felt or anything else.
I had lobular but mine was stage 2, so I was very lucky. I have to admit I always hated going for a mammogram but it also saved my life.
All the very best to you and your daughter

I hope all went OK Mrs LW.
My day hasn't been as busy as yesterday but it's still all go here. The plumber came back to do the final bit of my outside tap / hose (love it) and now he's busy laying some stone slabs in the back garden. I want to stop walking through mud / wet when going to the barn for wood, the back hall is always full of muck, grass or bark chips. We were just talking about it as I'd asked a local builder to do it weeks ago but he's been so busy it's not happened. Now I have him outside with pick and shovel digging quite happily and I've been out the front reading a book. Rain is forecast for tomorrow so he wanted to get started.
Things are progressing well then, not much more to be done here after the windows are fitted and then should be coming next week sometime.
There is plenty of tea being drunk here.0 -
I've given up on miss tru's PC – I can fix it but it'll mean losing all her photos, etc. I need to order a lead so I can connect the hard drive to my laptop to access it and save her stuff, then I can reinstall Windows for her. She's managed to break her phone, so I'll be connecting that to my laptop too, to save her photos. I don't know how many times I've said back up your stuff! But does anyone pay attention? Nooooo

I back up my finance spreadsheets weekly, and everything else monthly.
Maybe I'm mean, but I'd back her stuff up as you've planned, but not let her know right away, let her think it's all lost. Might just scare her into doing back-ups?;)
Patch went home yesterday, so the bungalow seems awfully big and empty today. Next guests not due til 3rd July - when we get the Noyz Boyz for a 3-night stay.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Well, well, well:-
I nearly did not make it back in here. Logged out on Sunday and couldn't get logged back in again. Tried over and over with all sorts of passwords of mine and zippo.
Emailed forum support three times and no flipping reply  in the asks for help
Anyway, had a brain wave, kind of remember an old password and thought I would try it - hey presto it's worked. So I am back - not sure if thats a good thing for some of you thoughCat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Rainy Days
So glad you managed to log in. :j
Had a very early start this morning as DD had popped home for a couple of days and had a conference in Sheffield today so drove me and youngest dd to Mea****all.
Walked all over the place and visited every clothes shop they had  Did not find a dress for DD but she did get a couple of things she liked and we had a nice lunch at Waga***a before DD picked us up and drove us home.
Really tired now but managed to load washing machine, bring in dustbin. load dishwasher and cook something for tonight. Will hang out some more washing later and probably have an early night.
JackieO
Good luck to your brother and crossed fingers.
