Halifax PPI claim

I have a credit card account with Halifax for the last 12 years started in 2003 - 2015 and found out I have PPI on this account.
they offered me £542.99 I thought this was well too low because over the 12 years I had around £10000 on it for a number of years so I requested bank statements from the last 12 years which they supplied me with at the charge of £10
Now I have all my bank statements I now need to know when they stopped taking PPI from me so I can work out what they owe me
So I called them and they said we stopped taking PPI from me in 2004
So what there saying is that they had only been adding PPI for the first 14 months
Well in that first 14months I had very little on that card and yet they offered me £542.99
I worked out from my bank statements that in that first 14 months PPI taken was £38.13
I think they are lying to me about when they stopped taking PPI and was hoping I would just take the £542.99 because I think I'm owed 1000's
Has anyone got any advice for me or has anyone else been in the same situation as me
Thanks Adam

Why did you ask for bank statements, they will not show whether you had PPI on your credit card? Or do you mean you asked for credit card statements, the credit card statements will show when PPI was being paid. Could you clarify please what you have received following your SAR

And the statements will of course verify that.

You either think they are lying or you know they are lying. As you have statements there should be no doubt.

You say the statements show you paying £38.13. So, why do you think you are owed £1000s?

I know I was being charged PPI because the bank told me.
Bank statements don't show PPI being charged
I asked for bank statements so I could work out what I'm owed but to so this I need to know when they stopped charging me PPI they said they stopped charging me in 2004 what I saying is that meant PPI was only charged for 14 months in that 14 months I had very little on the credit card so why are they offering me £543 I didn't even have that much on my credit card in that 14 months I think they are lying to me about when they stopped charging PPI
I think they stopped charging me PPI when the whole PPI thing came to light 2011-2012 if that's so I'm owed a lot more then £543

Sorry, not much about this thread makes sense.

I'm not sure how you think you can work out what you're owed from your bank statements.
All these will show are your overall credit card payments going out, they won't show you whether you were paying PPI or how much, it's your credit card statements that will show these.

Sorry meant credit card statements not bank statements
I can work out what PPI has been taken for every £100 on your end of month statement they take 70p

Add up what has been taken in PPI from each statement [only the PPI, not the interest]. If the amounts don't tally with what you've been offered, get back in touch.

Am I missing something? You said you have all the card statements?

If you have them, just go through them. It will be listed as a separate transaction on all of them if you were paying it.
