Hudl headphone jack replacement

Options
I think that the headphone jack on my daughter's Hudl is worn and am trying to find a replacement. I cannot find one through Google or eBay, anyone have any ideas (I have done this before on my iPod; I am not keen on paying anywhere from £30-60 for someone else to do it)?

Have you called Tesco? Even if it is over a year old they may still repair it for free - certainly if it is less than 2 years old it isn't unreasonable to expect a free repair. I had a 15 month one with that fault fixed free. Luckily they give an additional 90 day warranty with the repair because a couple of months on the charger socket went too and they also fixed that free.

Probably can be found on google but first time around I asked customer service in the store about it and they gave me a form. May have been a phone number on it or I may have posted it. certainly I just phoned about the second repair.

They send a courier (DPD on both occasions for me ) who pick it up unpacked. It gets courier returned in less that a week.
  • I called Tesco and the lady quoted me either £59 or £69 (I couldn't quite make out what she said) to repair it! Ridiculously expensive.
  • Bluetooth headphones would be cheaper.
  • But for the bluetooth headphones would I not still need a unit to insert into the headphone jack?

No, the Hudl has built-in Bluetooth, so they would connect wirelessly.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Have you checked that there is nothing in the jack socket and tried giving it a clean ?
Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.

Bluetooth headphones bypassed the problem. Thanks for the help!
