Roboform help

I have been trying this out and have a few questions that perhaps someone could help with.

When I use Roboform to login at some websites I get a message about cookies not being enabled. It's only some sites and not others. Any way round this? Cookie settings are set to Medium in IE7.

Is there any other password manager that I should look at? Roboform seems quite good and easy to use. However it's not free - is it worth it?

How many passwords do you have? There's an older free version of RoboForm that'll let you save 30 passwords - get v5.7.6 (filename AiRoboForm-5-7-6.exe) from here.

"Cookie settings are set to Medium in IE7" - If you still have problems with v5.7.6, you can customise this. To do this, go to IE > Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Advanced. Put a tick each in 'Override automatic cookie handling' & 'Always allow session cookies'. Then select 'Accept' under First-party Cookies & 'Block' under Third-party Cookies*. Note that the lattermost setting is not ideal if you use Quidco/similar sites as your transactions may not get tracked. G

    * If it still doesn't work, try 'Accept' for this too. No problem with Quidco/similar with these settings, but make sure to run your anti-spyware program (Ad-Aware, etc) on a regular basis.

P.S. There are many free password managers, but none as 'intuitive' as RoboForm. If you'd like to have a look at some of them just let me know. Before that you may find a suitable one suggested in this thread: How do you keep track of all your passwords?

Thanks. I'll have a look at that. I have about 33 at the moment but some of them need weeding out.

I shall try this. I keep Firefox purely for use with Quidco to make sure things are tracked.

Would rather not open up IE to everything although I do run Adaware regularly anyway.

    Thanks. I'll have a look.

Sorry for asking a silly question but is it a good idea giving away all your passwords? Also, where can I find Roboform?

Sorry i don't understand. Who are you giving them away to?

It would not be a good idea to give them away.

Also, where can I find Roboform?

mattlyn73, RoboForm v5.7.6 (link in my 1st post) will let you save 30 passwords for free. The present free version allows 10 only. G
