Short-Time & Redundancy

Hello.
I’ve just been put onto short-time at work. It works out as a 40% cut in my hours.
I was reading the gov.uk website and noticed that you can request redundancy if the short-time lasts more than 4 weeks and the company can’t guarantee work for at least 13 months. Looking to head down this route, I started looking for more information and then found on ACAS that you can only apply for redundancy if the cut is 50% or more.
As the gov.uk site doesn’t say anything about how big the cut needs to be, is anyone able to clarify it for me? I’ll be seeking advice from CAB at some point but my local office isn’t open till later in the week.
Thanks

Are you on the right .gov page
says 50% on this one.

You could apply for redundancy and claim redundancy pay if you’ve been laid off without pay or put on short-time and receive less than half a week’s pay for:
4 or more weeks in a row
6 or more weeks in a 13-week period0 -

How stupid do I feel right now. Turns out the answer was looking me straight in the face all the time0 -
It is easy to overlook things when you look at this sirt of stuff for the first time.
Companies can be crafty to get round this anyway.
It is work for 13 weeks not 13 months as well.0 -
The annoying thing is your redundancy is then worked out on your short hours and not your original ones.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
