Medion 98300 scroll up/down touchpad

Hi all,
The scroll up/down area on the right of the touchpad on my Medion 98300 laptop has stopped working. I don't think I have changed any settings for this, but I am fairly new to this computer world so...??
Any help with this would be much appreciated.

i would personially try a system restore to when was working could help.

start > all programmes > accsiories > system tools > system restore then click next (if "restore your computer to an eariler time" is selected if not select it) then on calender select date (will need to be a bold data)

this shouldnt delet data from your machine

also some times is easily possiable to disable the mouse via hot keys i beilve they called - if got computer manual try looking this up usally have to use a Fn and a Function key (i.e for example fn + F7) maybe this will help. (but think if was this the whole touch pad would stop working so may not be this)

But it may quite possible to have a physical fault if the rest of pad working ok if is one of them all in one touch pads which scoller on left or right hand side. but lets hope not.
