personal injury issue?

My ears have been hurting for a week after I was walking near a firing range abroad (outside the EU) and a bigger noisier weapon than i was expecting was discharged near me. The tour guide hadn't said anything about noise protection and person in charge had apparently at the last second indicated for ppl to cover their ears but I hadn't seen him until it was too late as he was partially hidden behind a tree. I'm worried I have perforated eardums because of this. Does this sound like a PI case and if so where do I start, doctors? solicitors? write to the travel agent I booked with (I'm back in UK now)?
