PPI Halifax Letter Received

I recieved a letter from Halifax regarding PPI I had on my very large, and now ancient OD asking me to complete a form in the case it may have been misold.

I wasn't even aware I had PPI, I wasn't working during all the time I had the OD, and also had pre-exisiting medical conditions.

I've posted the form back stating the above, but am just curious how likely it is that I will receive these payments back, and if it is likely, is interest added?

    1. It depends on what you put on the form. If you had no income, then I'd have thought the PPI would have come in handy.?
    2. Yes you get simple interest at 8%

You have to be working to be eligible for the cover. If you weren't then it's utterly useless.

I was in receipt of benefits and the OD was £15,000. It was at least 7 years ago, the form did say say it either had to be within a 6 year timescale or within 3 years of knowing I had been misold which wasn't until 2 weeks ago as I didn't even know I paid it.

    Thanks for the replies.

Was the OD and ppi in place before you stopped working or did you run up a £15,000 OD whilst unemployed?

Overdraft was all when I was unemployed. I was not not working at any point from the OD being set up to when it finished. I was not aware I had PPI at all until the letter arrived.

I had a letter like this referring to PPI I apparently had on a loan. I replied saying I had no paperwork and was retired at the time the loan was taken out. I then recieved another letter to say how much they thought they should refund me and a couple of weeks later I received a cheque. Very happy me.
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.
