Morning all
Thanks for your comments. Went to bed at 9.30pm steaming drunk but woke up feeling ok today. And yes I do feel better - you are right reality_check.
Friend has sent a grovelling text saying that they have messed up the plans unintentionally and they feel awful. They have cancelled the ticket part of the night and suggesting getting together in the pub instead with the other people. But I have made other plans now! I got straight on the phone with another friend who wanted to meet that night anyway but I had already said I couldn't. And now we are having a BBQ. Never mind. Life goes on.
The other 'friend' has been downgraded in friend status really since last summer anyway. I'm just keeping up appearances as she is probably one of my oldest friends and we have been through a lot but I don't confide in her anymore. It feels weird. Years ago in my early twenties we were all going out and I decided to drive. I cant remember her exact response but it was something along the lines of my being no fun unless I was drunk. I remember that staying with me for a long time.
What I've learned is we obviously have a different idea of fun, hers being to eat rubbish and drink lots which is not mine.
Anyways, last night was a bump in the road. I can pay back the wine tomorrow when husband gets paid. His pay date is usually 28th and our mobile bill comes out this day and it has making us overdrawn so I have had to dip into the car maintenance fund meaning I will have to pay that back tomorrow. We have agreed to keep a car maintenance float of £300 and it is now £250 so will need to top that up. Will have to rejig the budget.
At least I have made a start with the loan!!
Lots of cleaning to do today. The house is a tip!!
Onwards and upwards.

Morning diary!
I've had about 5 hours sleep due to husband getting in late, DD grizzling until about 1.30am and DS having woken up at 6am wetting the bed.
But hey ho as husbands pay day today. £70 more than normal - not sure why but ill take it!
All money allocated to certain pots and budget rejigged to take into account changes to the month in socialising plans.
The car maintenance pot has been topped up to £300 and I have put the normal grocery spend amount into the food account (£400) but determined to shave £100 of this to go towards the loan.
Loan payment will go out on Monday but am counting it down now and then rounded the amount down to the nearest £100 by an overpayment of £15 so the total is now £12,300.
I've decided to take just £50 out as a cash float this month because I don't think we will drink that much this month.
That then leaves approximately £200 left which I would love to just chuck at it the loan now but I'm sure things will come up so it will remain where it is for the moment until later into the month.
Right, chiropractor this am and the a@ldi shop and then visiting a friend this afternoon followed by exercise this evening and quality time with the husband me thinks.
I wrote a meal plan last night and I am determined to stick to it. Yesterday I managed to do all my prep for the evening meal (sausage casserole and rice) after lunch whilst the children were playing so all I had to do was chuck things in the crock pot as and when I needed. It was great as I was able to play with them too for an hour whilst it cooked. Will definitely do that every day now - and don't know why I haven't already.
Have a lovely day everyone!

Quick update.
Didn't make it to the di of al. Had to go to mr m due to a toilet situation but got loads of food striking to the list and spent £60.59. Not bad for my £62.50 budget.!
Dd is poorly - has a temp of 38 degrees. That was why she was whingey last night. She is currently napping after a Paracletemol dose.
Hoping to get the £50 cash out later and some eggs but will see how dd is.
Worked out we have paid off nearly £8500 of debt in the past year. So I have high hopes of getting this loan paid off by the end of 2017.
Husband is on board. The only thing stopping us is us.
Happy Friday ya'll!!

Morning diary,
Musical beds last night. DD came down with a rash late yesterday afternoon so quickly whipped her to the doctors hoping for chickenpox but and unexplained virally rash. She seems better today but it was very itchy bless her.
We didn't get back from the drs until 6.15pm ish so it scuppered my exercise plans. Felt another 'urge' again to make it all better after the stressful event with a bottle of wine (usual Friday night treat). Husband said no. It was too late to make the dinner we had planned for our date night so I said 'takeway?' and he said no. He made a quick and yummy past dish too.
This morning I suggested using the money we would have spent on a bottle of wine and a takeaway against the loan and he said 'absolutely.'
Just slushed £25 towards it then noticed his old job had paid his expenses of £235. So used £200 to pay off the wedding weekend which was scheduled for next month and then the £35 towards the loan.
Felt really good. Balance now at £12,240 and overpayments this month to £80!
Going to pack a lunch for our city trip today and also take some coffee in our travel coffee mugs to avoid the urge. I will let you know later how we get on.
This slushing could get addictive. I'm like 'what else can I not buy so I can put money towards the loan.' Ha ha!!

Quick update.
Fabric, notions and pattern for my dress came to £30. Decided not to buy a pashmina to go with it but use one I already have. £50 was my budget so £20 gone towards the loan.
Didn't buy any lunch or coffee. Dutifully ate our packed lunch. Just bought a snack for the kids out of the £50 cash I had. Also £4.50 for parking.
Husband suggested getting bits for a spag bol on the way home. I said absolutely not because we have full cupboards at home.
I asked if he wanted any wine tonight. He said no as he is trying to lose his belly.
We could afford all these little things before its not now I want that money to go towards this debt mountain so a successful day all round.

Evening all
We've had a lovely day here just pottering around. Spent about £4 on milk and chocolate for the kids and us. It was nice just to relax.
We have 3 play date lined up this coming week so nice cheap or free fun! Two lots of people are coming here and the other one we are going out.
We have the opportunity to go out on Friday night just the husband and me so I think we will grab the opportunity with both hands and walk to our local for dinner. Looking forward to it already.
Looking forward to a wonderful week!

Evening diary!
Busy few days here. Cat is poorly so taken to vet. Lots of drugs and a blood test. Awaiting results. Not sure what the cost is yet but he is insured. Just hoping its nothing too serious.
We have decided not to go to the pub for dinner on Friday but cook ourselves something healthy and with a bottle of wine and then go for an evening walk. We love doing that sort of thing but its become impossible with small children that are so ready for bed. Its meant to be good weekend too weather wise so happy days!
Just ordered the wedding present online now from the marks and sparks place. It came to £50.50 so free delivery and just have to pay 50p as used my gift card. I did have a good trawl through the website beforehand to make sure there was nothing I wanted and there wasn't. Have used the £50 I budgeted for a gift towards the loan meaning I am very close to my target this month already and its only the 2nd!!
I need to slow down though now and just let life happen for a few weeks.
Signature updated.
