BM questions

Before I open a savings account with BM, I wanted to know a few things:

1) How is BM's online system? They share FSCS with BOS, Halifax, etc. is the online banking interface similar? My concern is sometimes the smaller banks have really bad systems which require phoning, writing letters, etc. to make withdrawals because they don't work properly.

2) How many direct debits can be set up and can they be recurring (automatic every month)?

3) Is it necessary or better to get a linked account from BM for making payments? There is conflicting info about this on forums.

Thanks

    1) BM have their own online system. It's basic in look, but works effectively.

    2) 1 direct debit, although it's easy to change accounts. You can make it a monthly direct debit.

    3) I think you have to set up the linked account. Payments from BM to the account go by Faster Payments but tend to get there late in the day.
