I recently purchased a mobile signal booster from the website above and have never received the item £250 worth.

They are offering huge savings on their products 50% etc.

I suggest this may not be the great deal they are advertising and one to avoid!!

I opened a Visa Dispute after receiving flim flam from the website about referring the matter to their accounts department. More like the next bedroom!

If you think you are getting a bargain for CE marked equipment BEWARE..they took my money and ran....or so they thought

Some of the networks offer an app that will send phone calls and text messages via wifi.

I use O2's TU Go app, that works on Android, Windows, iThings and Windows Phone. It only available to contact customers; not PAYG.

It will also operate via another mobile network. Great for when I'm abroad. I can make and receive calls and send and receive text messages for the same price as when I'm in the UK: free. :)

3 offers a similar app. EE offers a similar feature that will work on certain handsets.

I actually do use the facility offered by Three (homesignal) but this relies on a good internet connection which we don't have (256kbs download via BT Openzone). BT have told me we may never get this upgraded.

It seemed reasonable to try and boost the Three mast signal which, mobilesignal.co.uk say is legal with a CE marked booster, It transpires that even this is not allowed without a licence.

The UK is a rash of NotSpots which is a travesty and made worse as the mobile mast's power output has been lowered to conform to the UK National power saving policies due to electricity shortages. In the same way supermarkets turn off their aircon for the same reasons.

The vagabonds such as mobilesignal,co.uk come in and exploit the situation. They even mark their site with affiliation branding which is not authorised by the companies involved.

This company found their name being used as a recommendation and told mobilesignal to remove it. They have added some advice about the legality of signal boosters/repeaters.

Just watch out and don't buy from them.
