Only one sole name Tesco current account?

I thought you could have two plus a joint one but the application states :
"I don't have more than one Tesco Bank Current Account already."
whereas
http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/saving/article-2652962/Tesco-Bank-current-account-offers-3-good.html
"Couples can boost their earnings further by taking out a joint account on top of their personal accounts.
That means they could earn 3 per cent interest across a total £9,000 in three accounts."
Which is correct? Have things tightened up since the article?

The article is not wrong in saying 2 people could earn 3% across a total £9,000 in three accounts. 2 sole and one joint account would indeed allow for interest on £9K.
That way, each of the account holders would hold the maximum of 2 Tesco current accounts allowed per person. It's always been max 2 Tesco current accounts per person. You cannot hold 2 sole Tescos plus 1 joint Tesco account as you are not allowed 3 Tesco accounts.
However, each of you is allowed 2 sole accounts, so between 2 people, you can earn 3% across £12,000 in 4 accounts.0
