What is amazing if that some seriously rich guy with properties in more than one country would use such a cheapskate will writing service.0

This is a case which Barclays know full well they are in error. They have chosen to ignor the Ombudsman's recomendation to settle, but are taking a gamble that the claimant will be bluffed out of proceeding by the sheer cost of legal proceedings.
This would be a great case for a possecution services company to take on the Bank on a no win no fee basis and really sting the Bank with the legal costs, plus interest for the delay, which they are causing.
How shoddy can you get Barclays? You know full well you are in the wrong, so pay up and do the decent thing. You will have to in the end, but it would show that you do care by paying what you owe now.
Then get your silly Will Writing company to re-train and learn a few simple rules. They obviously don't know the basics of Will writing and for a wealthy client to rely of cheap costing service from Bank is sheer stupidity.I'm a retired IFA who specialised for many years in Inheritance Tax, Wills and Trusts. I cannot offer advice now, but my comments here and on Legal Beagles as Sam101 are just meant to be helpful. Do ask questions from the Members who are here to help.0 -
