Defaults soon to drop off

With them soon to drop off im wondering as i believe i read on here that using them springs boards debtors into action, in the past i have used the free trials of experian, equifax and currently use noddle and it does not appear to have caused such action but as it has been said on a thread might it be the case..?

Each CRA operates services similar to this

    http://www.experian.co.uk/consumer-information/autotrace-plus.html

which will alert collectors/creditors when new info linking untraced debts to new addresses/contacts etc pop up.

One way that new info gets there is via people who have not requested a credit report using their latest address/details requesting one, and then where there might have been a broken link to their previous history, that link being restored or made.

So yes, it can happen if you have been hiding or not done anything to link your new address details to your old records with the CRAs, and you have creditors/collectors trying to trace.

Likewise, even if they are not signed up for an alert service, collectors and creditors doing periodic searches under your old details may see your new ones appear on any such search after such a link is made.

Just checking your file will make no difference - only you will know you have done that. However as Fermi says, if you are hiding from your creditors (i.e. you may have moved and not told them) be careful as any fresh addresses you provide may create a link.
