Faster Payment...not so fast.

Maybe Santander have been having problems with fraud lately. I set up a payment to a new account last week and sent 10p as a 'test', which got there instantly. When I had confirmed its arrival, I sent a payment of £2k, which didn't get there. It eventually was shown as a 'rejected' payment.

Some sharp words with Santander followed, during which their security people cleared it for me, told me they had rang my mobile number as a fraud check (they hadn't) and told me all future payments would go through instantly as normal.

Sure enough, the next day I sent a smaller payment to one of my regular payee accounts, and that was delayed ('pended') too.

I'm waiting for an explanation but not holding my breath.

Both noh and I have attempted to explain to you why you are wrong, perhaps you should reconsider your posts and think about apologising for persisting with your error.
