Sink unit smaller than the last, any creative ways to save buying new flooring?

Hi,

Our tenants are having some problems with the plug in the sink, and since the sink itself and the unit aren't great we've decided to replace the entire thing.

The problem is, the current unit is 410mm and the unit we'd like to buy is 310mm. We cannot find anything exactly the same size as the being replaced.

Here's a photo of the current one: http://i.imgur.com/LnkqAeH.jpg

Any suggestions please? We'd like to avoid buying a whole new floor if possible. Maybe buying a unit and cutting it to size is an option? Thanks :D

Just Google bathroom furniture. Don't mention sinks, you'll get something for the kitchen.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

Thanks all :) Something bigger isn't an option unfortunately since there wouldn't be enough room between the sink and the shower... Any more and it'd be a bit cramped :(

Thinking of just replacing the flooring as well

    sink in the kitchen
    basin in the bathroom
unless you do the washing up in the bathroom
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.
  • I would take the unit apart and make one using the shell as a template. You can then use what size sink you want by cutting a larger hole in work top to accommodate it.
A local carpenter would also be able to do this for you
