What countries are best to buy a house for investment?

I could probably move in with someone else, once the house is bought I'll have an income, then I can move into that house once I buy another, I am unsure of exactly how long it will take to pay off, but once I'm on a good job I'll use my own money if necessary.
It seems to me as if you just have doubt that I could make it because you know I'm young and aren't criticizing my points. I would say people are being anti intellectual and making out as if everything’s going to go wrong. Have you invested in real estate abroad? Surely not every country is that bad, I don't see why people would be getting ripped off left, right and centre, surely if you go into it with knowledge and are prepared to pull out if you feel something is wrong, you'd be fine.
Parents always encourage their kids to go to university but in reality, most university students come out with huge debts and no jobs, they only do it because it's what they are told to do, people have common opinion and don't think for themselves. I think you are probably right about the legal side to it though, it's probably risky.
I'm probably being nieve about this and will find later on that it was not a good idea, but I want to at least try to buy a place.
Just out of interest where do you call ' home' as your written English is not that of a national?0 -

Why aren't books good? They are written by professionals and those who have succeeded in real estate.
If I were a successful in real estate, why would I bother doing anything as unprofitable as writing a book that is going to be purchased by a handful of dreamers?I think it's more valid than random people that have doubt and a patriotic bias to the UK.
Who are random people? Most people buy in the UK because the work and have family here.In reality the UK is a boring country where people sit at home drinking cups of tea watching TV, few people actually do fun stuff and the majority of them just want to have petty little squabbles, I've met people from all over the world and it seems to me that most brits are like that. And it always rains here, people think they have a good country but always end up saying "What do you want to do tonight?, oh wait there's nothing, except the pub and TV, in hotter countries you can spend the day by the pool, people don't sit in like they do in the UK.
It doesn't always rain in the UK. It's about 1200 mm per year. High by European standards, but nothing compared to the tropics. And you sound like the typical bore you set out to characterise if you think sitting around a pool all day is fun. What are you basing your opinions off? Have you read books? Have you actually succeeded in real estate? Or are you just doubting? Lots of people fall into doubt and hence don't even try, common sense and conventional wisdom is always crap, I hear it all the time that people have a common opinion and it's usually wrong, they just assume without looking into the matter.
Why do you have a go at people pointing out your naivety? You've come on an internet forum asking which country you should spend a rather paltry sum of money on buying property. The £8,500 won't even cover legal expenses in many countries. I wouldn't ask which sports car I should buy if I had only the money for a tank of petrol."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0 -
If you move so Spain etc, you won't be in the pool all day, you'll be up at 5am inspecting your property portfolio and then at 5.01am counting your money and then at 5.02am your kettle will have boiled0
