Quoting in posts dilemma

I'd love to know how to do multiple quotes in a single post.
I can quote someone and add my own bits but can't quite manage quoting say two or three quotes within the one post.
Anyone care to educate me?

Ok! So I'm dumb but please enlighten this idiot.
I've seen it done many times ie quotes from different people in one post but when I try, I can only quote one person.
Where am I going wrong?

Copy the text that you want to quote.

Paste it into your reply and then highlight it. Then press the quote button - it looks like a speech bubble and it will wrap the quote html codes around your text.
