Correct but that's why I said they would need to look into it.
They have said they have PT qualifications, maybe that's enough already? Experience, again maybe PT is enough. Equipment, you just need a few weights, maybe mats etc. You can make it as cheap as you want. I go to a bootcamp on a field with just a few rugby balls sometimes. Doesn't have to cost the earth. Premises and insurance would be the main things to consider but lots of people do it so it's got to make money somewhere. Not saying it will rake in ££££££ but certainly enough to cover expenses and gain a profit and for the OP to do in their spare time.Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -
Op do you have a 'Streetlife' in your area.
It's a website where people in the local community get together, it could be talking about jumble sales; crime; whatever is going on. I've seen people posting requests to ask if anyone has a phone number for a gardener; cleaner; electrician, anything.
Google see if there is one near to you and advertise yourself.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

We have a dog and I wouldn't trust her with someone who approached me and asked to walk her for a fiver.
For starters the reason people tend to pay dog walkers is either because they're out all day at work or they're too disabled/infirm/busy to do it themselves. I am not handing my house keys over to some random person in the street.
Second our dog is a member of the family, if she slips her lead what insurance do you have to help us get her back?
I'd stick to something you know, not something that looks easy to set up.0 -
Marty. £5 per hour is too cheap - people won't take you seriously - they will either assume you have ulterior motives, you are on JSA and not declaring income or that you useless and unemployable.
You need to up your game.
Wigan is not a "rich" area as such so go for around £8 per hour for cleaning/gardening. With gardening jobs or diy type jobs it's better to price for the job rather than quoting an hourly rate. People then know exactly what it will cost them. A lot of cleaning firms now also quote for the job rather than per hour.
Second the idea of a leaflet drop, also consider postcards in shop windows etc. business cards can be quite cheap, look at vista print. You might get an introductory offer.
Definitely don't ask for babysitting/childminding strangers. It just looks dodgy. Why would any parent risk you........same with beloved pets. I am assuming you are CRB checked???
One of your problems is that most people want cleaning/gardening jobs done in the week, not weekends. Can you squeeze that kind of work in Monday to Friday - you did say you do only 21 hours.
What about bar/pub/restaurant/kitchen staff jobs- they are more likely To need casual or part time staff at weekends.
In the meantime Have you got stuff to sell, ebay, car boots etc.0 -

If you sell items you already own you're fine, but remember if you buy to sell then you are a business and you must declare it.0 -
look on gumtree for dogwalking/pet sitting jobs and look on freecycle for stuff for car boot sales. Ask around for jobs networking got me most of my part time jobs. bar work is always on. and if desperate mcdonalds always take on anybody.you can use that job to move on elsewhere. Try cards through doors printed nicely (often they are free) eg gardening/ pet sitting etc0

I think the grass-cutting or odd job idea is a good one. We're not in Wigan, so maybe not applicable, but when we moved here we couldn't get the local guy to cut our grass, he's got a waiting list!
Put your details on a postcard and stick it up on the local supermarket notice boards, it costs you nothing. Especially a shop that lots of elderly people use, (for example our Co-op has more older shoppers than the other big supermarket here). Your local library might have a notice board too, have a look.
Good luck.
PS
I agree, don't sell yourself so cheap. Go with the same going rate as others in your area, but provide the friendliest service. Do you really want to start a local price war with some of you working so cheap in the end that you're not making anything?Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0 -
My name is Patrick Sands. I am from Pennsylvania; I do network marketing both online and offline. When I graduated in computer science, I was very lucky because I got a job immediately in one of the corporate telecommunication companies in Pennsylvania. I worked for 11 months, and I realized I could not achieve my dreams on a job, the more I worked, the poorer I became. I started looking for opportunities around Pennsylvania and online. Later on, my friend told me about network marketing opportunity. He invited me for a meeting in a hotel and I was shocked when I saw all categories of people in the room listening to a presentation. My mind told me immediately that, it seems all people can join the opportunity. The presenter of the day did a presentation I had never seen. She used Deb Bixler cash flow quadrant to show us the reason as to why we needed to join network marketing. I was very excited at the end of the presentation, and I was very ready to join the business.
I started my MLM business from home at first and then to expand it i was looking for a space, luckily i have got one but i found that after a few month i was not able to bear all the expenses then i took help from a Home Party Plan professional to Get More Party Bookings who provided me home party plan tips to get out of it and now i am able to bear all the business expenses as well as helping others too.0 -

Could you do Avon get to meet people in your area then offer cleaning services once people have got to know you. You only need one who will tell another0
