There was a guy who started to do the garden for the little old lady next door, when he first started he only had an old escort van, then as other people asked could he do theirs and he bought a trailer, then a transit but he only started by putting cards in shop windows or adds in the 'free' paper.Good idea. How do I market myself for that?
As above. Plus tell people that you know that you are available for cleaning/diy/gardening work (whatever you know you can do) and ask them to pass the word around.0 -

I agree with Mojisola.
If you use any social media sites use them to let people know. Ask if anyone has any jobs or knows of anyone who does and to pass the word around. You could also use the local Spotted page(s) on Facebook to advertise.0 -
I'm thinking about getting some business cards done for myself. Is that the right approach though?
If you've got a printer do a simple leaflet and do a drop around where you live.
Another add-on job could be if you bought yourself a Karcher power washer, cleaning bins and patios. But the people would need an outside tap.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I'm being lazy so haven't read everyones post. If it's not been suggested already could you look at setting up your own sort of boot camp? You can run it once a week maybe a saturday or something. As you have qualifications in personal training it could be a good thing to look into.
I know many people who go to boot camps (myself included) and pay anything from £3-£7ph. You would need to look into things like insurance/ place to do it etc but could be something for you?
I would love to do something similar myself but wouldn't know where to begin. Could make a small fortune for an hours work

It must take up a lot of work not to mention the cost of starting a bootcamp.
