Whats this on the end of my emails?

When I send an email, it looks like I'm adding a postcript on the end. The latest one reads " got a favourite clothes shop, bar or restuarant? Share your local knowledge with Backofmyhand.com" Now I've not written this though it looks like I have. How do I stop it, and what is it?

What email are you using? Which email client?"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Run a spyware and virus check ASAP and delete anything which is clearly not a useful programme (if you're not sure, paste the name of the programme to this thread and I'll try to tell you whether it's useful or not)
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html for Spybot S&D which is free to use and gets most spyware programmes
My friend had some pretty horrible stuff pasting !!!!!! onto the end of his e-mails and it turned out to be some nasty spyware which was doing it...
Good luck!0 -
Could easily just be an artifact of webmail. I don't know if hotmail still do this."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Oops... yeah, forgot to ask if you were using webmail or desktop mail... Just assumed you were using outlook... 0 -
I'm using Hotmail. My Norton virus shows nothing, although I have to admit that I havn't updated it recently ( I've posted another thread for this):smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0

Agreed, as I mentioned earlier I see this happen on emails from hotmail, so looks like I made a good guess (for once
). Only way to get rid of it is to get an email address from somewhere else. "She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Thanks folks. I have been posting in another thread ( which I highjacked) and I think the problem was my Norton anti virus. I havn't updated it recently, so in response to lots of advice from other posters, I uninstalled it and installed AVG virus and spyware detector. Found 53 malaware files. Now I've deleted them, hopefully, the problem should cease. Isn't this forum GREAT????:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0
