I had the funds from my solicitor on completion of the sale. In fact the money hit my bank account a couple of hours before the rest of the capital from the sale which was needed to fund a cheaper purchase made it to our vendor. No excuse for the solicitor not to send it on to you as soon as he gets it.0

And a cheque? So another 5-7 days before you actually got the funds......

I could have had the funds on the day, if I had paid extra for the transfer.
A cheque just suited, as I wasn't sure where the funds were going to go at the point when my Solicitor asked me.0 -
