I am running Windows XP with the standard firewall.
Is this up to the job, or should I install another?
If I should install another, which one? Pref free!!
If I do install another do I just disable the Windows version? Or should it be uninstalled (how)?
Thanks all!

It's not sufficient, I use Comodo. It will prompt you to disable XP's firewall when you install."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

There are quite a few free firewalls out there, here are the links:

http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/

I have used both Kerio and Zone Alarm and they are very good firewalls.
Good luck

I agree with Superscaper - Comodo is worth a look0

Yep, having two software firewalls switched on on your pc can cause conflicts etc. Even if you miss doing it for whatever reason, you can easily switch off the windows firewall manually in the security centre in the control panel."She is quite the oddball.
