I can't work this out so please point me in the right direction.
I have been experiencing difficulties with my broadband speed, so have been communicating with Plus, my provider. However, yesterday evening, after I tried to install another router to conduct speed tests (and couldn't so uninstalled it) - I find that any attempt to access Plus's website results in a blank page. It appears to connect normally, the status bar says 'done' but I just see a blank where all the content should be? On my OH's pc, routing on the same connection it displays normally.
I've even conducted a system restore, but no good - same result.
I've tried the following:
connecting through favourites, email link (in reply to their email), email link I emailed myself from OH's computer, google search (both direct and connecting through a cached page). All results are identical.
I run zone alarm & AVG.
Any ideas?

What do you mean when you say you "installed" another router? If it's a router no software is required to be installed."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
Moss0 -
Plus asked me to try another router - and I had a 'Speedtouch USB ADSL Modem' which I had been given, it came with an installation disc. I tried to install but couldn't connect to the internet so 'uninstalled' it.
It was after that time that Plus has not displaid - that's why I did a System Restore, but it's not changed anything?
(It's only writing this that I can see my error! - Its a modem and not a router. Doh!) But I'm still stuck in the same situation.0 -
Clear the cookies etc from your browser (assuming IE7). Tools>internet options> "delete" in browsing history. Might also be worth running ccleaner to clear the registry (saying yes when it prompts to backup the registry)."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

 YOU ARE BRILLIANT - THANK YOU!
I'd already run the registry cleaner - but rather than get rid of all the carefully stored cookies I want, I used ccleaner and took all the 'plus' cookies out of the 'saved' ones. Worked immediately. Thanks for the lesson. It's totally logical and next time anything like this happens I'll try that.
