    all they could see from your credit report is the public available information, such as defaults and CCJ and bankruptcies, so if you failed and did not have any of those, then it could e as simple as you are not on the electrol register or you share some accounts with someone else and it's their report that has failed you.

    Only CCJs and Bankrupcies from the above list are public information.

    Your post is confusing.

    To clarify for the OP.

    Linked accouns
    Electoral role (if you choose to be hidden)
    & Defaults
    - are not public information. The agent cannot see these

    You are confusing Data Protection with Child Protection and Anti-Terrorism and Money Laundering and Health and Safety Compliance.
