Trustpilot is one of these, at least judging by the quick glimpses of the sites shown by the BBC.

I flagged a bunch of blatantly fake reviews there once and then got a nasty email warning me for mass flagging. They obviously dont care, hopefully they get their backsides given a good kicking.

I have just been potentially scared by a dodgy trader from Checkatrade ! He had 35 reviews but only 4 were shown! I have doubts about this site and others like them and I hope that they will be subject to more scrutiny in the future! I would prefer to go to a trader that had at least a couple of poor reviews as no one is perfect that is until they join the Checkatrade site!

You trade with people you want to trade with. Without details, I can assume this was a dog walker who kidnapped you pet poodle and held you to ransom!
