Hi Guys, I have just received this e-mail, and don't know if it is malicious or not. I've been with Aol for years, now TT, and never had one of these before. Does anyone think it is Malware/
I haven't clicked on anything, but, have sent myself an e-mail, which was ok.Anyone else had one. Any advice would be truly grateful. I didn't know anything about re-validating e-mail boxes?
The grammar is a bit iffy;There should be "which" between storage and limit.???

Aol Broadband.

Your mailbox has exceeded the storage limit is 1 GB, which is defined by the administrator, are running at 99.8 gigabytes, you can not send or receive new messages until you re-validate your mailbox.

    Hi, Thanks for reply, much appreciated. I thought it may be a scam.When I hover over ,click here, a pop up line at bottom of the page, above the bar, shows ldrv.ms/1l2wVw6, whatever that means.No webpage.
    Also, this is the header of the e-mail, wouldn't copy before
    ;A D M I N
    Service Info to you (BCC)show details.
    Tried to trace it, but, not sure how, got a full page of data?

    well the "click here" should have taken you to your webmail sign in page , not a scam site that looks identical , but will gather not only your user name , password but also your bank details etc , please delete

    Nigeria, aint surprised. Glad I didn't click anything.So strange, because, I have always suspected my PC laptop was compromised for 18 months now, so much, I bought a I-pad, then to use any financial transactions on, just use pc for research, surfing.
    Today, I let my guard down and used a new debit card on my pc, not my i-pad and then shortly after, got that e-mail, .
    everything shows clear on pc for donkeys ages, just got a gut instinct it isn't, hence the i-pad. Thank you very much, really grateful.:beer:

    its nothing to do with pc or ipad , it was just a fake email , did it say "MR *** ****" or just customer?

    I get them from fake banks and fake paypal, etc all the time , your email was just picked at random , of the 1000 guesses they sent out perhaps 10 got somewhere ,

    sorry for delay, it was;customer;
    just coincidence, it was certainly a good one, with aol moniker on etc.I've had a few before,from banks etc, but, none from aol.Phishing probably?but,I never click on them at all, difficult at times , just let your guard down, and bingo.I was more concerned it was malware,or ransom ware;
    thanks again much appreciated.:beer:
