Hi all,
I need to buy a large number (40-50) DSLR cameras, ideally Canon DSLRs, which is going to set me back quite a lot of money. It's for a company I'm about to start, specialising in 3D scanning. Can anyone advise me as to how to get the best deal on these possible?
Is there anyway to access wholesale pricing from Canon, directly?
Thanks in advance.

At that price you would probably be best approaching Canon directly - Although you would also be well-advised to get quotes from some of their larger agents as well - volume discount to agents/retailers may mean they get better gate pricing from Cannon themselves.0

Try asking Canon. http://www.canon.co.uk/where_to_buy/# You deserve a healthy discount for a large order.0

I'd suggest the discounts should be hefty, but probably not eye-watering. The margins on electronics are pretty thin these days, so I'd be happy if you arrange anything much above 10% off the best public published price (most of the profit is in filters, bags, memory cards and accessories).
How about asking Canon about /sponsorship/ though? It sounds like you're going into a sexy industry and they might be prepared to let you have a pile of loaners/older models/price breaks in the new stuff/whatever if you can bring them good promotion and glamour ;-)0
