Have purchased a new build. I was told it would be ready June or July at the latest. Now been told the estimated date of entry is October!.
Obv not happy!
Am I entitled to any compensation?
The date of entry is also very close to my mortgage offer expiry date.
It's with the nationwide, will they extend without submitting a new application?
Thanks

You were given an estimate, not a firm date, so you won't be entitled to compensation.
IIRC Nationwide will extend the offer by about 2 weeks if your solicitor confirms that completion will occur within that timeframe, otherwise it's a new application.0 -
No compensation but maybe you could get some free extras in the house, you should ask. Also it's only estimated to be October. Have they started building it yet?0

We managed to get the developer to pay the difference in rent between the dates however we had been given a date to complete and that was then amended.

Roof is currently going on the house. It's a traditional build.
It's clear that it was never going to be ready for june/July.
Feel that they have misled me0 -
The builder will have covered their !!!!! somewhere in the paperwork.0

I live on what used to be a site, you will be surprised how quick they go upDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Yes nothing I can do about it apparently!!!!0
