in IVA & DRO
I had to take a payment break due to my car tire exploding and a suspension problem which I had to get fixed. So I asked payplan if I could take a payment break.
They said I could and it would be added to my final payment which I thought all was fine. I went on to the payplan website to day to be faced with a message saying I was behind in my payments.
I phoned up and was told that I should have added money to my monthly payments. If I was to do this it would leave me short on being able to save up for things like my car tax and other related costs such as servicing and tires ( I travel every day to work as where I live there is no public transport that covers my working hours).
after all my bill go out if I was to pay the extra monthly payment that pay plan want I would be left with £25 this would not leave me enough money to save up for any of the above mentioned.
I am quite worried, any advice?

Hi grenbrucelee, I did this a couple of times with Payplan due to car troubles. I initially asked for a payment break they said yes but you can only have one payment break and upto a certain amount of months 3 or 6 cant remember and it would be added to the end of the IVA. I didn't want that so asked if I could miss a payment and make it up in the following payments until then next review. It left me very tight but I didn't want the IVA to continue as long as is was wet out for.
If its only one payment you have missed then making the difference up would be the process, however this should have been confirmed with you in an email authorising the new amount you would need to pay. Sorry if this doesn't help I an understand how you are feeling.Never make assumptions always ask questions>>>>>;)0 -
they didn't confirm this via letter or email. I will need to spreak to them0

Great stuff, well done. I have never really had a problem with Payplan as long as you communicate with them preferably by email. Best of luck.Never make assumptions always ask questions>>>>>;)0
