Belkin Netcams - can they record locally?

I have a couple of Belkin Netcam HD cameras (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Detection-Definition-Android-Devices/dp/B00BHVXABC). With a login and the app, you can open their stream and view them wherever you are in the world. One covers the front of the house, and one is inside. They're useful because I can check on the dog when I'm out, and see which particular salesman is attempting to bother me before opening the front door.
The thing is, they're not really security cameras because they don't record their footage unless you manually open the app on your phone and press the record button. You can buy a monthly subscription recording plan from Belkin which activates recording when it senses movement, but I'd rather try something hosted locally.
Does anyone know of a way to attach some sort of hard drive to these cameras to get them to record their footage?

There is no way to attach a camera locally onto the device itself as it only has a Wifi Connection. Only way I can see of recording semi locally is to use a cheap android tablet or phone in the house with either a USB hard drive or flash drive as storage, or have a PC running all the time monitoring the feed and recording it to the hard drive
FWIW I have a Foscam, they have a built in SD card they can record to.0
