Sunshine broke at first dawn here and has been out ever since. One load out on the line, another in the machine and one waiting to go in. A nice breeze to aid it all on it's way.
Last night we decided to give up and playing the National Lottery. We have regular numbers that we play, but now they are adding a further ten numbers taking it from 49 to 59 it means we will have to reconfigure the numbers we have always played to take in account the extra ten. So, we have decided to finish with it when the changes come in, in October. We might play the odd lucky dip when it goes into rollovers but that will be it. DH said if we are meant to win it we will and he is right.
Anyway's have a good day all and enjoy this beautiful sunshine

Morning :hello:
Gers That's good news, I hope your physio appointment comes through quickly.
camelot I'm sorry about your friend xx
The tumble dryer has left the building :T I've updated the spreadsheets, filed important bits of paper and shredded the rest. I had a really good walk with Scampi, he only pulled for the first 10 minutes and didn't bark at anything - this is cause for celebration

I've pulled out all the empty baskets and shoeboxes, etc. I've saved for storing things. The things never seem to make it into them
I'm going to sort that out today.
I have a mountain of eggs to sort out, I won't sell the ones that were laid while we were away because I can't date them. I told miss tru to just put them in the large mixing bowl in a cool place and not to worry about cleaning and boxing them up as she collects them. They're perfectly fine though, I'll see if any neighbours want them.
The man-trus are having issues with each other – they're rarely both in at the same time but still manage to wind each other up. They seem to want to have conversations through me. “Can you tell dad this?” “Remind master tru of that”. My answer is no, ring him yourself and tell him. Course, this makes me the baddie
They turn it around on me – probably because they don't want to confront each other – and I just flit away to do something important, like fold towels
They have no idea what to do or say, so they just stop blabbering. lol

Well done to Henry :T
It looks like being a nice day so going to put the washing machine on, unload the dishwasher and have a large mug of tea.
I can't hear youngest DD moving around so not sure if she has planned anything for today. I would offer to treat her to lunch in Leeds and go looking for dresses for her graduation but don't want to spoil any plans she has re friends etc.
The recipe for pot pork with cider and onions from HB diet book that we made last night was delicious so will be having that again. The transylvanian meat balls with garlic sauce was also a success.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Morning All
Jackie O well done to Henry hope you have a lovely day with your friend :j:j
It was a very late night last night, I have been awake catching up on MSE as DH and my EOH (who came back down for my birthday dinner) still seem to be snoring away upstairs
Don't think I will get up to much today, back to work tomorrow and up at very early o'clock.
Have managed to book a chiropodist for Saturday morning hoping he can do something about a corn I have in the ball of my foot before we go away.
((((((Hugs)))))) to all who need them
Hope you all have a lovely day

Good Morning everyone, beautiful and sunny here today with just a nice light breeze. He Who Knows is on the allotment, I've done the house and am waiting for a delivery so can't venture far from here until it arrives. Had a nice day yesterday, I went to town for grocery shopping on the bus, walked one of our normal routes with Charlie the retriever and his mum and went to the cinema and out for supper afterwards with my lovely Sister in Law which as always was a lot of fun. Slept very well last night, in fact I didn't wake up until 8.15 this morning, unheard of!!!
Well done to HENRY on winning the prize for spanish, lovely stuff.
Have yourselves a nice day everyone, Lyn xxx.
Just had lunch in the garden in the sun, so restorative, in fact so restorative that He Who Knows has laid himself out on the lawn and is having 40 winks zzzzzzzzz!0 -

Gorgeous day, but no washing in the wash bin, you can bet your bottom dollar if it was raining the blummin' thing would be overflowing!
Went shopping this morning to Aldi and the shelves were wiped, no ne deals in and the same super six, I don't know what is going on, it seems that they are becoming a victim of their own success
Still managed to spend £70 though
Had a potter in the garden when we got back and found that one of my runner beans has died, I think it was when DH put them in, he managed to cut the main stem, still I have left the "bean" in the ground so it might regrow with a bit of luck.
The Sweetcorn, Kale and Brussels are getting bigger, I just need to thin them out at the weekend. We have two sorts of lettuce, lambs and cos, Radichio, tomatoes potatoes, raspberries, strawberries, loganberries radishes, chillis and cucumbers are growing well, I have lots of little baby apples on my trees, but only one cherry and no pears that I can find
Our Neighbour gives us lots of plums every year and she can take her pick from our garden, it has always been that way and we have been neighbours for 20 years
MIL has got figs and filberts.
Butternut squash, Parsnips and purple carrots are in, I just hope we get a better crop this year. Not many blackcurrants, I need to give them a good dollop of manure next year
Had a good crop of broad beans (8 kgs worth) and they are in the freezer. The peas will likely not make it to the freezer because I love eating them raw straight from the pods
Must clear some space in the freezer, but I want to try dehydrating and salting a lot this year.
Dinner tonight is chicken and mushroom in a mushroom sauce on a puff pastry tart, with jersey royals and mucho salad stuffs nom, nom, nom
Well done Henry
Sorry to hear about your friend Camelot, he is probably up there with your DH catching up on stuff now xx

Afternoon all,
It's been another fab day here weather wise
DH and DS2 went fishing and aren't back yet. Pizza, new pots and salad for tea when they arrive.
Did the ironing in the garden then sat and read for a while. Don't seem to have managed to do that for quite a while.
Have a good evening
