Can I double check is there anything in soda crystals that could irritate the skin?
I have at least 1 1/2 boxes of persil non bio powder and am thinking of mixing up some value non bio, soda crystals and the persil like others have suggested. Going to mix a small amount first so as not to waste any posh powder and give it a week.
I am also going to put a line on my scoop in marker pen to remind me and OH to reduce the amount we use!!
Thanks

I'm not sure but we've had no problems using it.
On the packet it says "contains sodium carbonate decahydrate greater than 30%". It also says users with sensitive skin should avoid prolonged contact with highly concentrated solutions of the crystals.

Thanks pinks!
Might do a 1/4 soda crystals to be on the safe side.

I use Tesco value powder for coloured washes. Tesco 2 in 1 tablets for white washes, sometimes 1, sometimes 2 tablets depending on the size of the load. Tesco value liquid for quick washes. Works a treat.0

I did use whatever non-bio was cheapest at the time - I've been using Tesco's recently, but before that Clean 'n' Fresh or Easy. I'm sick of battling with stains though, so last time I bought washing powder I bought Easy Bio and stubborn stains magically disappeared first time. I usually use Clean 'n' Fresh fabric conditioner as it's the cheapest in our local supermarket, and cheaper than Tesco's own.0

I use any of the major stores own brands and same as sophiesmum just 1 tablet is enough.Since I had my new machine I've not used conditioner and the machine has stayed gunk free!:jDo what you love :happyhear0 -

I use the cheapest non-bio washing powder from Morrisons. It costs under £2 (can't remember the exact price). I only use a small amount of powder and i rub a bit of washing powder in cold water over stains and this nearly always works.
I have terrible skin and i have to be careful what i use, and this works best for me. I don't use conditioner and i love the smell of my clean washing after its been on my washing line and i've never had a horrible smell in my washing machine .0
