    Glad for your win.

I am saying you are using the Tesco car park predominantly as a car park and the shopping there is incidental and only as a result of you having to drive your child to school 3 days a week. As you write " in Saxmundam to shop/drink coffee to fill a time gap? ".

Send the appeal in anyway. Shops do have a habit of "forgetting" to tell the PPC to drop the charge.

Or rather, PPC's have a habit of "forgetting" that the shop has told them to drop the charge.

If you can get anything in writing from Tesco then even better.

But definitely appeal anyway, and add a point that the landowner has instructed the PPC to cancel the charge.

Eh? I'm sorry I am completely lost as to your point. What is wrong with spending time shopping/drinking coffee when there is nothing else that I want to do? Are you saying I shouldn't shop there because I'm not local and would have chosen to go home if I were? People killing time are the ones that spend...

He seems to be under the impression you're dumping the car in the Tesco car park and going into town for the day, rather than using on-site facilites.

I agree with Waamo and Herzlos that you should submit your POPLA appeal anyway - just in case the promised cancellation fails to come through before the POPLA submission deadline.

Plus submitting a POPLA means you get the added satisfaction of costing the parking company £27 + vat ;)

If you parked the other side of the road in Waitrose car park and had a waitrose card you could get your parking and your coffee for free

Imagine what GuysDad would have to say about that? Actually I did park there when I went to Waitress for lunch one day. I had no idea there was so little to do in Leiston! :)
